February 3, 201412 yr Hey everybody. I was thinking about getting the 1900 but I have a few questions regarding the GNS530. From the pictures, it looks like it has the exact same GPS' as the King Air. From my understanding, you are not able to build a flight plan from scratch using the default GPS in the 1900? So my question is, do I have to buy the GNS530 from RXP, for $50? Is the RXP GPS fully functional? Thanks! I have RXP Garmin for FSX .. but there are other options for the Carenado B1900D Garmin/FMS plans for FSX and P3D. For example. I can use other flight planners like I use FSbuild and Flight Sim Commander to build flight plans. They both use current Navdata fixes (like from Navigraph). FSBuild will build a plan for FSX. FS Commander will build me a plan for FSX and P3D. The plans can then be loaded (via FSX/P3D flight plan loader) into the Carenado Garmin and the plan will be automatically crossfilled to the Carenado's FMS. Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
February 4, 201412 yr That is one way to keep the database (date) more current. It seems that the Avidyne unit is "spilling the beans"... Bert
February 4, 201412 yr That is the date I seen in P3Dv2. A little advanced I would say! Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
