January 12, 201412 yr Can't find this aerocashe regardless what I try. Hint is 52 miles NEXT of Bettles. Since I have a VOR/DEM at Bettles I just did a perfect 52 mile circle around Bettles and the aerocashe sensor never even light up the 20 mile ring. Help! Moe
January 12, 201412 yr You might want to either Google or Bing "Ernie Lake Alaska" and look at the maps. I don't specifically remember this one, but I know some of the lake caches were a little difficult for me to find too. Or, look at Google Earth for Ernie Lake, AK. Thank you. January 12, 201412 yr I did the same thing! I stayed a bit closer to the VOR though and happened across the aerocache eventually. I'm not sure how the description can be SO far off, but it's actually about 30 miles to the WNW of Beetles. This is where I found Ernie Lake: 116.00 MHz 289 deg 31.4 NMs
January 12, 201412 yr Thanks for the thread Heimi. I had forgotten about that one. Moe - Glad you found it. Thank you. Rick $Silver Donor EAA 1317610 I7-7700K @ 4.5ghz, MSI Z270 Gaming MB, 32gb 3200, Geforce RTX2080 Super O/C, 28" Samsung 4k Monitor, Various SSD, HD, and peripherals
January 13, 201412 yr Fortunately there were not too many of these in Flight. If anything, they tended to make them too easy, like the crashed plane at Nikolski Air Station right next to runway 8 !!
