January 12, 201412 yr Hi all,

Have a weird one. My night textures for clouds, runway and plane seemed to have changed.

I have not done anything different to my set up of late, however, during a flight, there was a power outage at my house.

The runway is green, grey and pink. The clouds look like reverse images or ultraviolet images and the plane has a distinct line down the center.

This is only at night, day is fine. Using REX textures.

Too many addons to mention.

AMD A8-5500, 3.20GHz, 8GB of RAM, Win 7-64. Integrated gfx card.

I was wondering if anyone else had a similar problem and if so, how did you fix or any troubleshooting suggestions.

Thanks in advance. Don't blame for my name, my parents were hippies and met in Woodstock
January 12, 201412 yr That's strange an its never happened to me, my only suggestion would be to re-install your sky texture addons, I have tried some sky texture addons that were crappy and caused some strange colors on the ground during the night, dawn and dusk but were ok during the day, maybe the power going out caused an error you sky textures causing them to create strange colors on the ground though it seems unlikely but its something to try. If that doesn't work try re installing your ground textures like alternate runway textures for example. If things like this don't work you could re install the game though that would be a pain if you have a lot of addons. I am no expert though, im just saying what I would try in your situation.
January 12, 201412 yr Two things that come to mind, First, you might try letting FS rebuild the FS9.cfg file. Rename your fs9.cfg file to fs9.org and then restart FS. The integrated graphics card is the weak spot in your system as far as FS goes. You may find substantially improved performance from your sim with a new dedicated graphics card. Hope that helps. Cheers, Jeff "For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return." -Leonardo da Vinci (some experts question the attribution, but I'll go with it for now.)
January 13, 201412 yr Are you running FS in grey scale? Sorry could resist. I apologize in advance. Mitch
