January 15, 201412 yr I purchased this aircraft from the Flight Sim Store because said it was P3DV2 compatible, so I downloaded the AC. It came with its on install wizard. The install only took about 3 seconds and said finished download successfully. When I went to the LM P3DV2 file, sim objects, aircraft, the Carenado King Air file was not there. I do not have FSX on this computer so the file could not have gone there. I selected P3D on the install wizard prior to download. I went over to my control panel and checked Features & Programs to see if it was there and it was, however, I cannot find the file anywhere. I checked in program files even window files and the Carenado file is not there, no where to be found. The only Carenado file I have is the default Carenado B36 file. I don't think this is a P3D problem. Over at the LM forum Wes, (the LM software program mgr.) suggest I contact Carenado Support which I did that on 1/14/14. Have not got a reply from them yet. Thought I might try this forum to see if anyone has any idea's on this problem. Lot of knowledgeable simmers here as well. Any idea's will be appreciated. Regards Lamar One other note to add, on the control panel Programs and Features it does not show any Size of the download, just only the version of the download, maybe because its a small download? Thanks Regards Lamar Wright
January 15, 201412 yr P3DV2 compatible Compatible for version 1 or version 2? Installer point to or ask for your install directory?
January 15, 201412 yr I purchased the B200 direct from Carenado. Installation was straightforward, just point to the Prepar3D v2 directory. I have the plane installed with P3D v2, v1.4 and FSX all on the same rig. Floyd Stolle www.stollco.com
January 15, 201412 yr I had it installed OK...but I installed it using the Estonia Migration Tool. It worked as intended in P3D2, but the numbers on the HSI were absolutely unreadable...no amount of AA/AF was able to fix it. I installed it in FSX to see if this was a P3D issue and it was nearly as bad and still unreadable, which for me makes it unflyable. Fortunately I had bought it from Flight1, so I got my money back. January 15, 201412 yr Author Compatible for version 1 or version 2? Installer point to or ask for your install directory? Where I purchased it (Flight Sim Store) stated in the introduction that it is compatible with P3D version 2. The installer wizard did not give me the option as to where to put it. I figured that since it was P3DV2 compatible the installer would place it in the right directory. Let me back up one step, I had a senior moment, prior to downloading the aircraft from the Flight Sim Store it did ask if it was for FSX or P3D and of course I selected P3D then downloaded. It did not say P3DV2 just P3D. As I stated if you go to the flight sim store and select P3D add on's then Light aircraft it says the b200 King Air is P3DV2 compatible. Think I should download it again? Thanks Regards Lamar Wright
January 16, 201412 yr I purchased this aircraft from the Flight Sim Store because said it was P3DV2 compatible, Are you sure it is V2 compatible? I checked the Flight1 web site and it just said that it was P3D compatible, didn't specifically say V2. Most products that were available before P3DV2 was launched that say they are "P3D compatible" mean that they are compatible with previous versions, i.e., 1.4. However, if you purchase the Estonia migration tool, it should install it for you. I have used it to install a number of FSX aircraft, and it has worked. I too had a problem with a poorly focused HSI instrument, (only in P3D2 not in FSX), but was able to recfify the problem by making adjustments to my Nvidia board using Nvidia Inspector.
