Passenger count and gross weight

Featured Replies

I am doing a spreadsheet for trip fuel and gross weights.

I am using numbers from the SimPilots manual and other internet sources.

I noticed that the 1900D should have 19 passengers + 2 Crew pilots = 21

The Carenado station count (aircraft.cfg) does not agree (looks like)?

station_name.0 = "pilot"
station_name.1 = "co pilot"
station_name.2 = "1st row L"
station_name.3 = "1st row R"
station_name.4 = "2nd row L"
station_name.5 = "2nd row R"
station_name.6 = "3rd row L"
station_name.7 = "3rd row R"
station_name.8 = "4th row L"
station_name.9 = "4th row R"
station_name.10= "5th row L"
station_name.11= "5th row R"
station_name.12= "6th row L"
station_name.13= "6th row R"
station_name.14= "7th row L"
station_name.15= "7th row R"
station_name.16= "8th row L"
station_name.17= "8th row R"
station_name.18= "fwd bag  250lbs"
station_name.19= "aft bag 1630lbs"

It just means the rear row of seats is not installed, normally a group of three seats together. This is a customer option on number and placement of seats the seats are installed on a row of tracks and can be slid forward or back. The maximum number of passengers is 19 but the customer is authorized to remove seats such as when installing the lavatory, the catering station or just to provide increased seat pitch. Below is the flight station location for the seats, if you want a 19 seat variant then just add row 9 with three seats.

I watched a video of PMDG's B1900D (for FS9) and the interior shots do show the last row of 3 seats ... so it looks like they modeled the full 19 passenger seats + 2 pilots for a total of 21.

Well, I just might get it .. I need a turboprop for FS9........

The payload of 1900D in FSX defaults on loading to only the pilot and copilot. Is there anyway to preloaded the payload / pax details in FSX for the 1900D? E.g. configure something in aircraft.cfg or somewhere. It is not something that I am familiar with doing in FSX.

Cheers

Stuart,

As you suspect, editing the Carenado's B190 aircraft.cfg file would allow you to pre-load weight into each passenger seat.  Suggest first making a copy of aircraft.cfg.  Using a text editor, such as Notepad, open aircraft.cfg and look for the lines below.  I've highlighted in red the number to change for passenger Weight for each seat.

station_load.0 =190,   7, -0.5, 1        //Weight (lbs), longitudinal, lateral, vertical positions from datum (feet)
station_load.1 =190,   7,  0.5, 1        //Weight (lbs), longitudinal, lateral, vertical positions from datum (feet)
station_load.2 =  0,   5, -0.5, 1        //Weight (lbs), longitudinal, lateral, vertical positions from datum (feet)
station_load.3 =  0,   5,  0.5, 1        //Weight (lbs), longitudinal, lateral, vertical positions from datum (feet)
station_load.4 =  0,   3, -0.5, 1        //Weight (lbs), longitudinal, lateral, vertical positions from datum (feet)

...

Be careful only to change the weight numbers.  Have fun!
