Hi, got a email from scan asking to increase the vcore to 1.3 I thought it was 1.32 but I just read the vcore from the test results of the occ testosterone I may have got it wrong

I don't really know where to find the vcore in the bios. I sent them the test results to look at. When I was in the bios I noticed xmp was disabled I'm running 8g of ram at 1600mhz so don't know if this is correct.

Looked at a video on YouTube about overclocking the cpu on the z87 board the guy mentioned not to stress test the overclock with a stress program you should just use a application like fsx for example.i also noticed in my bios there is a button to select a optimised overclock where all the settings are automatically set this gives you a overclock to 4.2 which I selected and tested with occ this too failed I am now running fsx if this runs ok then I would be happy to keep this setting as I can see that fsx. Is running a bit smoother.

As you have probably gathered over the last few posts I am not very good at finding my way around regarding overclocking so the one button overclock may suit my needs,

just got a email from scan they said I shouldn't use occ for stress testing I should use aida64 which was developed for use with the haswell cpu done test at 4.2 oc and temps didn't go above 67 going to see how fsx runs at this setting

Well I follow the instructions of Nick Needham. He does indicate the use of Aida64 too but be careful I don't think it can shut down the test if the temps get too high. Glad you getting it sorted out.

The two files that were involved in your crash (highlighted in the BSOD report) indicate a problem with your boot sector on your HDD or you have a corrupted or out-of-date driver.  I run a program called Driver Scanner that scans for out of date drivers to your hardware (which Windows Update does not update).  It's freeware but, if it finds drivers out of date, they will offer to download and install them for a small annual registration fee.  Or, you can look at the drivers out of date, go to Google and search for the driver yourself, then download it and install it.  Your BSOD report highlighted those files for a reason.

Hi, used driver scanner to determine what drivers where out of date audio driver hdd driver updated .video driver which I didn't update as I have not had any problems with it. So now running my system with 4.2 overclock

Fsx default mooney,orbx Scotland,England and Wales scenery opus weather with Rex textures,nvidia inspector half refresh rate and fsx locked at 30fps,three monitors using tripleheadtogo, and uk2000 airports, ultimate traffic 2,So far smooth flights lasting 2-4hours.

 

Thank you guys for all the help in getting my system setup to run fsx.
