January 8, 200521 yr As far as I know the Eaglesoft Cessna Citation X have a FMC (like the real plane) but this is not fully implemented.I would like to know what features are implemented and what is omitted?
January 8, 200521 yr Author A better place for this query is Eaglesoft's own forums, but briefly, the FMC does some FMC functions (weight and balance, etc.) but has none of the flight plan/navigation functionality of a full FMC. This has been discussed quite a bit since the CX was released, but ES has always been very clear about the partial functionality thing. I believe you can download the documentation from their site to get more specific detail.Reality-XP.com is working on an FMC gauge that could be used in any aircraft, but there is no announced date yet.Dave Blevins System: Asus P8Z68 Deluxe/Gen3 mobo *** i7 2700K @ 5gHz w/ Corsair H80 cooler NVidia GTX 570 OC *** 8 GB 1600 Corsair Vengeance DRAM *** CoolerMaster HAF X case System overclocked and tuned for FSX by fs-gs.com Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog stick/throttle & CH Products Pro Pedals Various GoFlight panels *** PFC avionics stack
March 3, 200521 yr I am new to the FMC flight planning, but a friend (ret NWAL 747 pilot) was trying to show me how to navigate with a FMC, but was frustrated that the Citation X FMC really did not do anything of value (except V speeds etc) so the question is how do you nav this plane?? any tutorials?? others have this complaint?? thanks for responce
March 3, 200521 yr You can navigate in the CX exactly as you would in other aircraft, by using a:MAPGPSVOR 1VOR 2ADFILSCOMPASSDIRECTION INDICATORLooking where you are going ;)Interacting with ATCThe Citation X is very well equipped for all the above. The FMC has been the subject of exhaustive discussion already. If you do a search on previous threads it will save you opening this issue up again, having already been done to death!Rob Young Robert Young - retired full time developer - see my Nexus Mod Page and my GitHub Mod page

If you want automated flight, you'll have to make do with the default MS gps. Because of this I've retired the plane and am using the Aeroworx King Air for my non-heavy flying needs. I use FSNavigator for all the panels that don't have a full navigation implementation for the FMC.One plane that does not fit into either category, is the Feelthere CRJ - it's FMC is not quite all there, but unfortunately the panel is custom enough that FSNav cannot drive it.I bought it but very seldom fly it.* Orest-~~~~~~~~~Orest Skrypuchvirtual.united.comUAL1445 Staff ORDFO Orest Skrypuch President & CEO, UVA www.united-virtual.com
