A2A C172 and lights

Featured Replies

Hi gents

I've recently installed 'the fixer' after using Steve's shader patches for many months and am extremely impressed with the ease of installation and results.

I have noticed that my A2A C172 lights (dome, strobe, landing, taxi and nav) remain on after the battery is disconnected on the a/c.

Can anyone reproduce this behavior in order for me to try and eliminate what might be the cause of this.  Others at the A2A forum are not seeing this.

Thanks

Brent

I recently started A2A C172 (including core update 1.6) and I had many problems to get the VRi COMBO and Joystick CH Products working.

After updating to LINDA 1.13, the patch recommended for the A2A C172 and using the A2A_C172_v1_02 I finaly managed to get the 8 user buttons working.

Unfortunatly I cannot edit these user buttons on the COMBO.

If somebody can help me, please do.

What happens if you switch to DX9 - all ok?

Then switch back to DX10 and uninstall the libraries from DX10Controller (so its RTM DX10 Preview) ok or not?

Then install the libraries but don't install the other options (lights etc) ok or not?

@Dirk

This is the DX10SceneryFixer support forum? Did you mean to post here?

Thanks for the suggestions Steve.  I tried all of them but the problem persisted whether it was in DX9 or DX10 without libraries installed.

I'll try re-installing the C172 and see if the problem persists.  Strange because other folks weren't seeing this problem at the A2A site.

Cheers,

Brent

I thought this was a topic on A2A C172 and the use of LINDA for VRi COMBO on that aircraft. If not I will have to change to another topic, can you help me SteveFx ? Thanks.

No it's a support forum for dx10 scenery fixer. The op was asking whether dx10sf was the cause of his lighting issues. It seems not.

I believe that there is a Linda support forum, I am sure that you would have more luck posting there.

I cannot help because I don't use Linda or know anything about it.

Hi Dirk: Sorry, my friend - I would bet good money that there is no-one on this forum who is capable of addressing your problem. VRI is a totally alien addon here!

Just to close the loop on this thread...I checked my FSUIPC Miscellaneous tab and found that the "extend battery life indefinitely" had been selected (I was sure I had disabled that option but... ).

After doing that all lights work as they should when the battery is on/off....at least in FSX DX10!

Regards

Brent
