January 27, 201412 yr It's coming at some point and I ask because, for example, when I use the QW757 which was installed initially in FSX, then reinstalled via EMT into P3DV2, I learned that if I don't keep EMT in Virtual FSX mode, my avionics in the QW757 will not display even when engines are running in P3D V2 scenario. This of course suggests some 'entanglement' is happening so that if I uninstall FSX I may have troubles? What do we know? January 27, 201412 yr Moderator It may be looking for the "dummy" fsx.exe that EMT uses. One thing you can easily try - rename your main FSX folder and the folder where fsx.cfg resides and then try it, leaving EMT active. I do not have FSX installed and have had no issues but I do not use the QW757. Vic RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
January 29, 201412 yr In the EEMT manual it tells you exactly how to do when you do NOT have the tool installed. Jack J Jackson Castalla, Alicante, Spain
February 1, 201412 yr Author In the EEMT manual it tells you exactly how to do when you do NOT have the tool installed. I'll look again as I had looked there first but must have rushed thru the review. Thanks for that... February 2, 201412 yr I would disable the migration tool, uninstall the migration tool, then uninstall FSX. John Anderson
February 2, 201412 yr Author I would disable the migration tool, uninstall the migration tool, then uninstall FSX. Sounds reasonable John, thanks for that. One thing that remains though is when I disable Virtual FSX in the migration tool, then run P3D V2 w/ the QW757 the avionics are missing. I guess I could uninstall the QW first, then follow your approach, then reinstall EMT, then reinstall the QW? I would have thought the EMT would do that automatically, but perhaps not. I have not installed the QW757 so I can't help beyond that, I'm afraid. John Anderson

Right now I'm still fine as I have filled up less than 1/2 of my 500Gb SSD w/ FSX + lots of add ons and now P3D V2. But the writing is on the wall so I should pick up a huge chuck of storage when I finally let go of FSX.
