Everything is Orange

Featured Replies

Has anyone seen FS2004 go into diferent shades of orange? Its everything, the whole screen. I even see it in the create a flight screen (oranage plane and clouds - not side menu).I have FS Sky World installed. Dont think that is the problem though as I have been playing with those settings.John.

Sounds like you need to update your graphic cards driver.John

I do not know what creates the illumination but if the side menus are OK it sounds like maybe FSW settings might have changed it. What I mean is that FSW does provide files for improved sunset, maybe lens flare, and moon light. So, assuming you are not in the lattitude extremes, try a nightime view as well. Are your night panels affected?Have you tried different FSW settings?Does your card driver allow any color correction settings specific to DX9 3D?Hopefully, you have backed up your texture files.

Hi John,Your story can be caused by different causes as mentioned by others. My suggestion: Try to reset FS Sky world, using default FS 2004 textures. I've used "random" skies and suddenly the total orange environment appeared. I think you shouldn't have such a sunset each flight! Herman

Well he's certainly not flying in Orange Free State...Seriously...sounds like either one of the pins on the monitor cable has been bent/damaged, or maybe the monitor itself has a problem.Paul

The OP stated that menus were OK. I assume other programs were OK as well. A bad monitor pin connection would affect all programs easiest to see in areas of white which require all three color signals (r,g,:(.
