PMDG 737NGX Retail Availability Europe English Version?

Featured Replies

G'day,

so I've been keeping an eye out for retail availability of the PMDG 737NGX in Europe for about a month now but haven't had much success. For the record, I live in Germany but definitely want the English retail version. I believe the only shop that had it in stock was Aerosoft at a fairly hefty €59.90. I seem to remember that Amazon.co.uk used to have it in stock for a price somewhere in the €40s last year but right now Amazon.co.uk only appears to have the French CD version listed. They no longer even have a listing for the UK/ENG version so you can't even create a backorder for when they receive new stock.

Does anyone here know what's up with that? Is PMDG moving to a digital only format? Or is more retail stock in the making and on the way? Or are they bundling the PMDG 737NGX with their other 737 add-on for a brand new retail release? Or... what gives?

Cheers in advance for any useful hints :)

PMDG has been digital only for a long time now (I don't think they've ever had retail products, actually, but I won't say for sure).  It's up to re-sellers to make it into a retail product.

For what it's worth, it's all the same if you buy it and then burn it to your own CD.  You just don't get a pretty box...

Ah, I see. Thanks a lot :) . I originally wanted a box because I seemed to remember that the no longer listed retail box on Amazon.co.uk mentioned some charts and checklists as box contents but I can no longer find any references to such box contents so I might have erred on that one.  -  Anyway, I guess it wouldn't be a big deal to just print any charts and checklists which are probably included in PDF format with the digital copy so I guess I will indeed travel the digital route.

Thanks again,

Daniel

PC Aviator Australia has the PMDG 737NGX boxed version for about  $AUS 90. That's close to 60 Euros.

I bought it from there last year (cheaper). Mine is definitely the English version.

I recall seeing the PMDG 747-400X in a box at Micro Center a few years ago (key word being years, of course).

You clipped my post right before the most important part related to your point: re-sellers.

What you saw is someone licensed the PMDG product for re-sale.

Maybe, I don't recall. Wasn't really too clear on what you meant when you said re-sellers.
