February 1, 201412 yr Hi guys, hope your having a good weekend.I downloaded the PA A380 to do a flight between SIN-NRT with the Singapore Airlines livery, but when I go to change the fuel it still says 100% and still says my aircraft is overweight, I also can't change all of my fuel because I keep getting an error message because of numbering (see screenshot) the fuel just will not budge at all,I don't want to fly with 100% fuel tank! It's really pissing me ofP.S I use http://fuelplanner.com/ for my fuel.
February 2, 201412 yr I get the same message sometimes. Just delete the fuel and the % entries and keep trying to input what you want . it does work eventually. Peter Schluter
February 2, 201412 yr Usually if I have that problem, I just enter a number one less than the maximum, so in this case, 133,599. Captain Kevin Air Kevin 124 heavy, wind calm, runway 4 left, cleared for take-off. Live streams of my flights here.
February 2, 201412 yr Author I tried pschlute's idea and deleted the % and entered the fuel but it is ALWAYS when I enter it into the "left" & "right" which cannot let me change fuel, I majorly hate the PA A380 at times, it's a horrible aircraft but unfortunalty it's the best model around

Then enter a % or amount you want BUT before pressing OK , move your mouse to place the cursor in one of the other entries. This usually works for me. Peter Schluter
February 2, 201412 yr Author I'll give it ago but what if I get that error message again at the main left and right engines? It's extremely annoying. Sorry for double posting but tried what pschlute suggested and it is still happening, I want throw this bloody PC out the window, it's making me really angry!
February 2, 201412 yr Did you try entering a value one less than maximum? In your case, maximum is 133,600, I would have tried 133,599. Captain Kevin Air Kevin 124 heavy, wind calm, runway 4 left, cleared for take-off. Live streams of my flights here.
February 2, 201412 yr Ok, try this. Move your cursor to the entry you want to change and double click the value so that it's highlighted. Now use the keypad to enter the value you want. Don't hit enter or any other keys. Now move the cursor and hover over the next value you want to change and repeat the process. After you have changed the last value, click OK, Don't use the enter key. If that error message comes up just cancel out of the fuel page and start over. February 2, 201412 yr Author Just tried to change the fuel again and I still cannot get past the "left & right" without that error message coming up and also it's still saying 100% fiel
February 2, 201412 yr Close FS9. open the aircraft.cfg file from the aircraft folder and editing the fuel amounts directly in there. Save the file and then start FS9 and see if you can change them now. Backup your aircraft.cfg file first ! Peter Schluter
February 2, 201412 yr Ok well, I'll tell ya what. I've not used that aircraft so give me a link to the specific aircraft you downloaded and I'll give it a look on my system and see what I can find. Cheers, Jeff Close FS9. open the aircraft.cfg file from the aircraft folder and editing the fuel amounts directly in there. Save the file and then start FS9 and see if you can change them now. Backup your aircraft.cfg file first ! You know, I was just thinking the same thing, but looking at it, I wasn't sure if the fuel section in the cfg file specifies the amount of fuel loaded or the total capacity of each tank. Pretty sure it's the latter so yeah, add 1 gallon to the capacity of each tank and see if you can change it then. At the same time, the plane loads up with 100% fuel so you might still run into the same problem, but it's worth a shot. February 3, 201412 yr That just changes the capacity of the fuel tank. Yup, it does. That's why I figured it would be a longshot as the plane is still going to load up with a 100% fuel load. February 3, 201412 yr Looking at one of my my aircraft at least, the .cfg has the actual fuel amount per tank. If the OP provides the link as you suggested we can get to the bottom of this Peter Schluter
