February 3, 201412 yr Give us the link to the aircraft you downloaded and we'll look at it on our end. Cheers. Looking at one of my my aircraft at least, the .cfg has the actual fuel amount per tank. If the OP provides the link as you suggested we can get to the bottom of this If I'm not mistaken, unless you load a saved flight, an aircraft will always load initially with full fuel. The values in the cfg file are capacities, not current load. I did the same as you, I was looking at my PMDG 737 file. I can change it in the config file, but that just changes the capacity. At any rate, I agree that we just need to download it and play with it a little and we'll get it figured out. Cheers. "For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return." -Leonardo da Vinci (some experts question the attribution, but I'll go with it for now.)
February 3, 201412 yr Author Well it was a livery I downloaded Jeff, the base package was separate , but if you look for the Singapore A380 livery on the website you will find it quite easily http://www.pafs.wf/download/10
February 3, 201412 yr I did look, but there are a couple of the Singapore versions dating back to 2003 so I wanted to be sure we're getting exactly what you have.. Ok, Give me a little bit and I'll take a look. February 3, 201412 yr Author Thanks Jeff, best if you install the basepackges and the livery, it is quite confusing, I'll happily help if your having issues with it .
February 3, 201412 yr If I'm not mistaken, unless you load a saved flight, an aircraft will always load initially with full fuel. Not necessarily. This is dependent on what you have for your default flight as well. If you changed the fuel load in the default flight, well, safe to say you changed the initial fuel load whenever you load the simulator. February 3, 201412 yr Not necessarily. This is dependent on what you have for your default flight as well. If you changed the fuel load in the default flight, well, safe to say you changed the initial fuel load whenever you load the simulator. Fair enough. Thanks Kevin. I've always left the default flight alone, just to avoid potential problems. That said though, maybe that's an option here. Saving the default flight with a less than full fuel load and see if the airbus loads up with the same load. I know this aircraft is going to take me a little while to get working. The aircraft.cfg is a mess. February 3, 201412 yr Ok so, after getting it all up and running, I don't have any issues with changing the fuel load. Just changing the percentages, I tried changing it before loading the flight, in the sim on the ground, and then in flight and everything works the way it should. I guess my only suggestion at this point is to try reinstalling the plane and see if that fixes the problem. Maybe someone else has an idea short of reinstalling, but I'm at a loss at this point because I can't reproduce the problem you're having. Sorry I don't have an answer for you. February 3, 201412 yr Does your percentage change Jeff? Yep, sure does. No problem for me to change the fuel levels on any tank. Only thing I didn't do was to change the fuel load page to display in lbs. I still had it set to read in gallons. Just didn't think to change it. So if anything, you might try changing it to show gallons, but honestly, I'm not sure how that would have any effect on the problem you're having. If I come up with any ideas during the day I'll let you know. I'll get back with you sometime this afternoon Cheers. February 3, 201412 yr Author Thanks Jeff, I tried running FS9 on Admin Mode to see if that changes anything but nope,I tried entering fuel and it automatically went back to the default number in the value and didn't change at all, this was after a fresh reinstall of the PA A380, how did you get yours to work so effortlessly? With me it's nothing but problems lol.Did you use the data from http://fuelplanner.com/? For SIN-NRT in the A380 the total fuel is 224628 pounds, I don't like the defult fuel planner in FS9 I always use Fuel Planner, I enter that 224628 value into all the entries and it just does not change at all and resets it's self automatically.I have an idea, what about if I let you take a look for yourself at exactly what I am experiencing using a remote connection? It would make the process much easier and faster, best if you use TeamViewer http://www.teamviewer.com/en/index.aspx as that's what I'm usuing, I'll show you what I'm doing first then you can show me how you did it.
February 3, 201412 yr Have you tried it with fuel loader set to gallons ? Or tried my suggestion of editing the .cfg file....it looks like the entries in the .cfg file are in gallons Peter Schluter
February 3, 201412 yr Have you tried it with fuel loader set to gallons ? Or tried my suggestion of editing the .cfg file....it looks like the entries in the .cfg file are in gallons Editing the aircraft.cfg changes the capacity of the fuel tank, so you'd still wind up with 100% fuel, just at a lower value. February 3, 201412 yr Yes I have changed it using gallons but nothing happens Ok I am out of ideas then. As i said, i get this from time to time, but eventually it will take my entries as long as i move the cursor out of the % or weight boxes before pressing OK. As a wild shot have you tried changing from fullscreen to windowed mode ( or vice versa).... clutching at straws now ! Peter Schluter
