Thinking of doing a second attempt switching from DX9->DX10

I don't want to mess things up for you so maybe the best option would be if you wait for someone more knowledgeable like Paul to shime in or ask the same question over in the official DX10 Fixer forum and wait for Steve to reply but I think you're perfectly safe deleting the shader cache since it will automatically be rebuilt next time you start FSX based on the shader files located under ...FSX\ShadersHLSL.

Anyway deleting the shader cache seems to have fixed my issue anyway and I haven't noticed any other issues after doing so.

Yes, I'm very happy with the A2012 Aqua waves and also the darker water textures you can choose from in AS2012. Interesting the result was so bad first time I tried the exact same textures and waves but must have been due to me forgetting to clear the shader cache or something as I mentioned above.

As for the sun did you try the free sun I'm using called Nicks Sunfix? I think that one is really good and better than both the default FSX sun as well as other alternatives I've tried. Especially with the modification Steve suggested which almost solved the DX10 issue.

I will try the sun. What did Steve suggest? Change size?
