March 15, 201412 yr I wasn't trying to be critical here, rather I misunderstood which file you were talking about. There is a rain.fx in the root shader folder.
March 15, 201412 yr I wasn't trying to be critical here, Thats ok - I didn't think so. I'm not sure how the other rain.fx files are used, but the one in root folder is compiled. The file locations are a bit different than FSX.
March 15, 201412 yr This fix does work but just keep in mind that the second edit also affects the color of snow. Yes, but the snow looks good too. Spirit
March 15, 201412 yr The three numbers are the RGB values for the rain/snow. The original FSX tweak suggested using anywhere from 0.5 to 0.2 for all three numbers, which results in a darker gray as you decrease the value. This is the same tweak that the DX10Fixer's rain brightness slider uses. I'm not sure how the other rain.fx files are used, but the one in root folder is compiled. The file locations are a bit different than FSX. What is really needed is a DX11Fixer app. Many of the shader issues caused by converting from DX9 to DX10 in FSX were also carried over by LM initially when going from DX9 to DX11 (for example, the missing progressive taxi arrows). Some of the shader issues still remain in P3d 2.1, like the pure white rain and missing aircraft lights for certain 3rd party aircraft.
