Hello everyone. I have PFPX and while it is a fantastic program is actually has too MANY features for me. I just want the route "plane" and simple. Do you have any reccommendations? I know of FSCommander and vroute I think its called. I just need any program that will just give me the route, with no weight/fuel other calculations.

You do not need program for that. You can use Flightaware to obtain realworld flight plan for US, you can use vataware to pick up plans other users flown, you can use Rfinder, Vatroute, Simroutes websites...

If you fly mostly in the U.S., you can get all the real-world routes from Flightaware as stated above.  I use that along with Simroutes.com which can then import it to FSX, PMDG, etc.

You need to check this out it's called Electronic Flight Assistant. (EFASS) It's currently free, with a catch. For the first 14 days it's free completely. After that if you continue to use it still is free, but it will add some delays. If you buy it they go away. Other than that it's full featured, and it does most everything for you, flightplan, fuel calc, export flightplans to popular addons like PMDG, LVLD AXE and much more all automatic. It's the simplest and full featured planner I've seen yet. The only problem I have is PFE, doesn't work with it's export (FSX FP), no other problem encountered. I believe I read the price will be 29 Euros (I could be wrong) if you choose to buy  it.

PFPX has a way of building and exporting the route by itself, without having to do the flight planning.

 

It's quite simple to use...found it the other day, can't recall where it is without having the interface in front of me though.

Same with EFASS, you just enter origin and destination and the route is created, you can then choose alternates, replace with our own FP.route. If you gave it an aircraft profile (Drop down option) It will calculate fuel, apply METARs. It also handles users who use VATSIM or IVAO networks.
