March 16, 201412 yr Author The shadows are NOT working for the NGX Did you already try this is also true with version 2 and the new Force VC walls option ticked?
March 16, 201412 yr Paul J postet this at the Orbx forums and it worked great for me : "Aaaah - you have to also turn on this ->... by using the "Aircraft" menu in the DX10 Toolbox -> "Turn on VC Shadows" This allows you to browse to the the Airplanes ->> A2A C172 (for e.g.)-->> Model, and then selecting the "C172_interior.mdl" file. This will then make a new .mdl file for the interior view which will then give you "the desired result". This needs to be done for each aircraft that you want to have cpit shadows. OK! pj " Post some screenies when you have done it ;-) OK Here they are.... The pics show the shadows for the smaller GA aircraft, so HD Jet and Force VC Walls may have to be ticked for the larger airliner VC's. March 16, 201412 yr Author Honestly no. Did you ? Nope, same here but will give it another try although I'm pretty sure it will still not work because I was earlier told that there is something special about the NGX VC that makes it impossible to have any shadows unless the developer makes some changes to the design. I'm also not 100% sure what mdl file(s) you should add VC shadows to using the DX10SF Toolbox because I noticed there are two mdl files that seem to be related to the VC. Looking at the aircraft I do all my flying in one of the files is called PMDG_737_800WL_VC.MDL and the other one PMDG_737_800WL_VC_LOW.MDL. Guess the easiest way is to try adding shadows to both of them to be on the safe side  Will give it a go tomorrow and will report the result back here.

March 17, 201412 yr Author Just tried turning VC shadows ON for both .mdl files for the NGX 737-800 Winglets aircraft I'm flying using the DX10SF Toolbox and I also enabled the new Force VC Walls option but I'm sorry to say I still couldn't spot any shadows. So unless Steve can do some other trick using his magic DX10 wand I guess we won't be able to see any VC shadows in the NGX without help from PMDG and having them do whatever needed to enable shadows in the VC. Too bad an aircraft such as the NGX which in my eyes still is one of the best a/c out there is missing this great feature that adds so much to the immersion on the flight deck :(
