March 21, 201412 yr For me anyway, since I am sure that I have never been up here. So, these are the Aerocaches that I missed! I expected to see a very large open pit mine, but it was all snow. Got the Aerocache after a long flight from Anchorage just as I was on Short Final. "X" certainly does mark the spot. And thanks again to Steve for an interesting flight. Best regards. Luis Hot, humid Caribbean paradise!
March 21, 201412 yr A long, nice flight from Fire Island. This one makes 342 and closing in on 384. (350 + the other 34 I submitted before we were cut off from adding to the game.) And I still don't know why! BTW: Steve/Luis/Stone, is it that hard for the MS Flight admins to keep new AOTDs alive ? Can we do it without them?
March 21, 201412 yr This was a very long flight, that was the idea. So many of these were really short trips. The flight path took you over a lot of small airfields along the way to the big X. As I understand it, there is nothing left in the way of software programs or expertise to create aerocache's any more, what a shame. They did not even finish out the ones that people had already submitted. I know I had five that never saw the light of day. Steve
