throttle quadrant

Featured Replies

Installed radio stack from satiek and also added second throttle quadrant, radio syncd with system and working with pr3d 2.1

My problem inspite of multiple attempts in configuring the controls quadrant still insists it wants to control elevator and ailerion which obviously causes problems with the yoke. Also I'm not seeing the option of controlling other than a single engine prop, throttle, and mixture

I bet this is simple but I still appreciate the help

Back to FSX for lack of support

Are you configuring through P3D itself or the Saitek software?

Get rid of the Saitek software if you have that installed.

Disable the controllers in P3Dv2 .

Purchase Fsuipc and calibrate and assign the controllers through Fsuipc only.

You will not regret it

Thanks for getting back to me

If someone came to me and wanted me to write some custom software for them and it took me three months then I will charge them around $50k.

Lets say I was selling the same software to a club and all their members were going to buy it then perhaps the members would get it for $1000 each if the club had 50 members.

Now lets say I knew I could market the software and  sell 500 or so copies, then I could sell it for $100 a copy, just like pmdg.

It's not difficult to see that it doesn't matter how many copies of something I sell it still costs me the same amount of initial time and cost to develop the application.   There are not a lot of guys making cockpit's using this software so there are not a lot of sales.   Thats why the software costs so much.   Not because thats what can be charged or that you are being ripped off.  Just because the numbers of sales are so small that if there is any chance to recoup costs the price has to reflect the cost.

It's great that there are enthusiasts around making these for themselves and sharing their work for free but it's hard to expect people that do it for a profit should not be paid a reasonably hourly rate for their work.

rrich,

This is how to correct your problem:

1.  Delete the Saitek Drivers - have not had a driver yet work as it should.

2.  Ensure that each lever in FSUIPC has an assigned function and that you have calibrated.

3.  In P3D - Go to controls and delete all axis assigned. (This is your main problem- your you have P3D and your drivers trying to overide each other.)

4.  Do a taxi check to ensure your controls are working properly, the most common issue using FSUIPC is reversed controls, especially brakes and spoilers.

I have the two saitek throttle quadrants on my system, and have configured them through FSUIPC for every specific type of aircraft I have installed.   For instance if you were looking at all 6 levers from left to right, 1=Spoiler 2=Throttle 1 3=Throttle 2 4=Throttle 3/Prop1 5=Throttle 4/Prop2 or Mixture 6=Landing Gear (1st top half gear up/bottom half -gear down).

This setup also will take care of Wilco Throttle issues on the Airbus Series.  If you have any questions, let me know!

I have no idea how my post two up appeared in this thread, I have never read this thread and was surprised to see it turn up in my watched thread list.   It was posted somewhere else.

Sorry, I am sure it looks like nonsense here!  I cant edit or delete it either..
