March 29, 201412 yr Hey all, Wondering if anyone can help. Since installing syntax pro all of the buildings tend to go transparent when they're further than a few hundred metres away. Visibility is set to max in clear weather. Does anyone have any idea why this is? Thanks, Luke Skymaxx sorry not syntax!
March 29, 201412 yr I have never, in all releases, experienced your problem. It looks like your system is capable. I'm sure the authors will be here shortly to help you correct your problem. John John Wingold
March 29, 201412 yr What is your world draw distance set to inside the rendering options in X-plane? This sounds like an expected result of having it set to a lower setting..... I have never seen this issue and SkyMAXX isn't tied to world draw distance........
March 29, 201412 yr Hi jspahn, yes it's very strange and I've never had it become. Object distance insert to high but even on very high the issue is the same! Or is that not the same setting? Thanks both for your help Sorry I meant before - Damn the autocorrect!
March 29, 201412 yr Do you mean world draw distance? What kind of system are you running MAC? Windows? And are you using OSM scenery?
March 29, 201412 yr No special scenery other than skymaxx pro. My system is w8.1 64bit with 8gb of ram, gtx 660ti 2gb and a core k5 2500k at 4.2ghz. Xplane on a dedicated sad. I'm using the ff757. I did mean world draw distance sorry, yes. Perhaps it would be useful if I upload a video of the phenomena and my settings?
March 29, 201412 yr If you can that would be great even a few screen shots will be helpful.....Im going to fire up my windows machine and see if I can duplicate the problem...
March 29, 201412 yr Here is a quickie during my testing ... World Detail Distance is set to "Very High" This is in Boston so pretty populated my autogen is set to tons....... If you look off into the distance you will see buildings fading in, this is normal for X-Plane the LOD is set by the platform and is untouched by SkyMAXX.... I tested with SM enabled and disabled with the same results.......Is this what you are seeing?
March 29, 201412 yr .Is this what you are seeing? I doubt he's seeing the snow John! John Wingold
March 29, 201412 yr I doubt he's seeing the snow John! hahahaha well look past the snow...LOL Sorry I didn't uninstall the package.....
March 29, 201412 yr Hey guys thanks so much for your thoughts and advice. Rather annoyingly I'm away from my computer until tomorrow evening and typing a lot on a smart phone is a bit of a nightmare! I'll get a video or screenshots up tomorrow to explain the problem in more detail! Thanks again, Luke
March 29, 201412 yr hahahaha well look past the snow...LOL Sorry I didn't uninstall the package..... John your snow looks the bees, will us mortals be able to get our hands on Seasons Maxx Pro one day? Will it allow us to fly between winter-hard to winter-mild areas? (Snow / no snow) Cheers
March 29, 201412 yr John your snow looks the bees, will us mortals be able to get our hands on Seasons Maxx Pro one day? Will it allow us to fly between winter-hard to winter-mild areas? (Snow / no snow) Cheers Ill open up the discussion once the time is right, thanks for the kind words, I hope to focus on the problem Luke is having right now though
April 2, 201412 yr Hey, I also have this problem. I was looking in the distance, and my buildings were transparent. I thought I was seeing ghost buildings!
April 2, 201412 yr Yeah has to do with "World Detail Distance" in the default rendering options for X-Plane. I tested with and without SkyMAXX installed with the same exact results.... Or it could be another plugin to be safe , SMP has no control over the autogen.....
