problems after problems

just sick of problems with fsx and 737 ngx now.

its not letting me install the spc1 600 700 getting a message saying...

the setup has detected that no version of the PMDG 737 6700 NGX RTM is installed.

this update requires that a previous version of the application be installed

Are you running Windows or a Mac?

If Windows, since you're early in the install stages, make sure you install FSX into its own folder such as C:\FSX and not in the normal C:\Programs (x64) or C:\Programs folder. There will be data file write problems. I didn't know this when I first installed FSX onto my Win7 gaming machine and then I did an uninstall and re-installed into C:\FSX.

I too had some issues with installing the service pack(s)...one of them said it was already installed (not the spc 1 one) but I had actually not done that yet so I skipped it (no choice) and moved on to installed spc 1.

Looks like you only have downloaded the service pack itself. You will need to install the 6/700 files first. ie. download the complete installer, not just the incremental update.
