How do I make all flights start cold and dark in 2D cockpit?

Featured Replies

Right now I can get my PMDG to start cold and dark in VC, which is fine, but now I need to get all flights to start cold and dark in 2D mode(if not my Boeing 314 acts up). So far I've been able to get my Boeing 314 to start up almost cold and dark, but its always in VC mode. This means a series of aircraft swaps to get the panel to work correctly.Help please, if not, I'll be forced to use saved flights which dont start up using system time and/or real-time weather and that sucks!

Setup a flight with the default Cessna at the airport of your chose. Turn off everything but the avionics switch, then save the flight as your default, making sure to click "save flight as default". From then on all your aircraft will load cold and dark.Dave FisherCYYZP4 2.8 GB 478P 533 MHZ CPUP4P800S Asus Motherboard768 DDRGeforce Ti 4200/128Maxtor 80 Gig ATA 133 HD x2http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpg

Why not turn off the avionics switch?

thanks, i'll do that!

>Why not turn off the avionics switch? Some aircraft do not have a dedicated Avionics power switch, so if you turn it off on the default flight and then load one of these aircraft on top of it , your avionics are dead, with no way to turn them on. .

Wow, I never knew about that, thanks for the info Bob.

There is an easy work around to the avionics switch problem. Go to the top menu and select options/controls/assignments. Locate the "Avionics master switch on/off" and select by clicking on it. Select "Change Assignment." Type ctrl + shift + A. The avionics switch is now assigned to that combination. You can use any assignment combination you want but be careful you don't overwrite an existing combination. It will warn you if you attempt to use a combination that has been previously assigned.Considering some panels don't have an avionics master it's suprising Microsoft didn't include a key assignment for this.

Thanks dfish!!!Didnt know about this!:)
