February 10, 200521 yr I like the PMDG B1900D...the exterior model is second to none, and is typical of the kind of high quality work done by the PMDG staff.I read the "express" caveats on the website before I bought the thing, and was still disappointed in the cockpit. Like JoeT, I tend to look for the work to go into the interior of the cockpit...it's a much more immersive experience for me that way.The flight model (in my opinion) left something to be desired. There was no way to accurately adjust the CG (and this can be critical, as evidenced by the US Airways crash), and I found that the PMDG offering had a pronounced tendency toward nose heaviness on the approach. I did some research and some experimentation and came up with a simple solution (a modification to the .cfg file) and the plane flew like a dream after that...what's more, I could fiddle with the weight and balance using real world calculations, another key to adding the "feel" of flying for a short hauler. It's a good plane, and it is indeed targeted at the casual simmer...but I'd like to see a treatment of the B1900D that is up to the standards of their 737.Yoda Best Regards, Kurt "Yoda" Kalbfleisch Pinner, Middx, UK Beta tester for PMDG J41, NGX, and GFO, Flight1 Super King Air B200, Flight1 Cessna Citation Mustang, Flight1 Cessna 182, Flight1 Cessna 177B, Aeroworx B200
February 10, 200521 yr Yoda:You bring up an interesting concept. As popular as the PMDG B1900D has become, it would be great to see a "non-express", full blown version. I for one would purchase it in a heartbeat.I wonder also, on the other hand, what sales would be like on an express version of the 737. Not being a programmer, I don't know if there are elements that could be used in both of these cases to create the opposite more efficiently, and perhaps at a cost savings to the end user.In any case, I vote with you for a full treatment B1900D, even if I wouldn't be able to fly it as often as the express version.Wilson
