April 13, 201412 yr Reviews and user comments on the DC-6 and the Comet are not really good, but I've been enjoying them both - the graphics, animations, sound sets, types of instruments and cockpit layouts make them pretty immersive. At 2x 6 EUR I feel inexpensively entertained ... B) As I said above, I have spent quite a lot of time flying the DC-6B and I really enjoy it! I paid full price for it some time ago when it was not in any sale and I have to say I do not regret that. I agree that the criticism it receives is a bit unfair but I suspect some of our fellow simmers want absolutely reality in every aspect of an aircraft systems and I guess it is ok to be critical if that is important to you. For me, that sense of 'immersion' is what is important and if I can get that then I can overlook the fact that a simulation might not mimic every little detail of an aircraft's systems. Like you I get that sense from the DC-6B. Hopefully I will feel the same about the Comet but I haven't had a proper chance to give it a good 'run' yet! Bill
