Ok,

 

1.  I found the files onthe AVSIM Library.  I understand there are zip files 1-10 

 

Correct?  Y  N

 

2.  I unziped them to my windwood folder per readme.  So are these Voice Effects?  OR (hopefully) are there more VOICES to go with RCV4?

 

3.  I did not see any voices added when I looked in my voices tab.  I did a rebuild scenery and still no voices.  so ???  Possible Hint as to what I did wrong...  I have no "Bryan Opalka P# (as COPILOT)" in my list of voices.  Hmmm.

 

Anyone fluent in Meatwater's voice pack I would appreciate a little nudge in the right direction.  Or let me know I did all I can.  Thanks.

It sounds as though you installed them correctly. You won't see any additional voices. The Meatwater update simply modifies all the original controller voices to add a sort of background static like one would get with real ATC. I too use the updated set and much prefer them, you do have to listen more closely at times, but such is the case in the real world.

Great enough said then.  Yes I did notice a whole lot better sound.  Was hoping for more voices. 

 

Stuart, would you know if there are more voices anywhere.  LOL  Sounds a bit psychological.  I need more voices in my head.  LOL  Just kidding.

 

It would be nice if we could get an update, however I have searched rather extensively to no avail, and I see JD has shelved RCV5 for now.  Understandibly.

I also tried meatwater some 2 years back. The files are NOT complete and a couple of voices are missing.

I found them too artificial and missed the ones which I liked using, so dumped them and went back to RC voices.

I have not found any others either.

Interesting.  Well I can appreciate that Ian.  However I fly professionally and in my opinion RC provides the best solution for ATC available and Meatwater did a great job on the effects.
