April 23, 201412 yr Commercial Member Hello all! I'm starting a new "series", if you will. I will *attempt* to catalog my flights in PMDG's wonderful 77L.. I tend to start things and not complete them at all, so let's see how this goes.. -- So, today's flight will be SQ002, operated by Singapore Airlines, my flag carrier. The flight is usually operated by a 77W/772, and goes on to San Fransico after a short stop in Hong Kong. We'll be flying the first leg to Hong Kong today. Our bird will be 9V-SVV, a fictional livery on the Boeing 777-200LR, which Singapore Airlines does not operate. Distance flown is expected to be 1484 miles, which should take us a flight time of 3h14m. We're carrying 202 (+8 crew) people today, and 4 infants. Combined with 30289 kilograms of cargo, this gives us a Zero-Fuel Weight of 195.4 tons. Dispatch expects us to burn 21000 kilograms (flight time: 3h15m) of fuel en-route today, however, we will be pushing back with 29000 kilograms (flight time: 4h42m) in our wing tanks! Our center tanks will stay empty for this leg. We are not carrying any extra fuel, and are at our minimum legal requirement for T/O. We'll be cruising at FL390, with no step climbs along the route, and we're aiming for M.084 for most of today's cruise. In case of any issues with our destination airport of Hong Kong International Airport, we will be diverting to Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport, 93 miles away. Our route is as follows: VMR M771 DUDIS/K0899F390 M771 DOSUT/N0486F390 M771 DULOP Q1 CARSO/N0485F380 V551 BETTY Based on prevailing winds, we're looking at 02L for departure, following the VMR4E SID out of Changi International. Onto the pictures! -- Arriving in our office for the next 4 or so hours.. A look at our Bird, sitting pretty at Gate B8. Keying in our identity, and requesting our route from Singapore Airlines' dispatch office.. The VMR4E SID out of Changi, on our Navigation Display. Cross checking waypoints with the FO.. MCP set! V1, VR, and V2 speeds all set and checked in the FMC, and our V2 speed of 149kts is set in the speed window! We're going directly to FL390 today, ATC is being very generous! Ensuring the doors are all closed and set to Auto before pushback, wouldn't reflect on the airline too well if one of 'em decided their people need them and pop right open at FL390! Pushing back, engine start-up! Saying goodbye to Changi for now. Iconic tower in the background.. Rolling up to the hold-short markers, we're cleared to T/O, so a quick glance over to the approach sector and we're good to roll on through and line up on 02L! Lined up, throttles forward, TO/GA smacked, POWER SET! Onward to Hong Kong! Point the nose to the sky, and up she goes.. Climbing like a homesick angel, banking left to follow the SID out of Changi.. Experiencing some nasty weather on the way up, FAs gotta plonk their butts back in their jumpseats, PAX Signs are turned from AUTO to ON. 'Ere we go, left most of the nasty stuff below us, FAs can get up again! Honestly, gotta love those GE90s. You can count on them to get you out of hairy situations in a snap! Clear skies ahead, still climbing to FL390.. Nicely settled at FL390, clear skies ahead, coffee in hand, time to start preparing for the approach into Hong Kong! We're expecting the BETTY2A STAR into VHHH, using the LIMES transition. Looks very pretty on the ND! Done planning, time to admire the view.. Entering the "Racetrack" @ 6000ft, right on target according to VNAV. On Finals, established on the Localizer, waiting to capture the Glideslope.. Around 4 Miles out, we can barely make out the runway lights for 07R.. About to touch down, A/P disconnected at 1000ft.. Didn't follow the FD perfectly, but hey.. Any landing you can walk away from... -- This post is continued below, in accordance with AVSIM's 20 image per post rules. Aamir Thacker

April 25, 201412 yr Author Commercial Member Great shots, out of interest is that the Imagine Simulation WSSS? If it is it looks so different! It is ImagineSim's WSSS. It's actually a pretty damn fine airport. Promo screenies weren't great though, don't know why Aamir Thacker
