Question About Ftx Global

Featured Replies

My impression is that this product is the best product in its category and better than Ultimate Terrain X and GEX, correct? But I have bought and use the DX10 fixer. And in the FTX Global product description it says that

'FTX Global is not DX10 compatible ... A third party tool is required to modify the shaders to make the 3D lights work.'

Does this mean that there is an application that makes FTX Global fully compatible with DX10? If so what is that tool?

I use FTX global ,but not DX10.as far as i know there is a fix  to make the lights work with DX10.

also It isn't the same as UTX  which does Roads and Coastlines plus other things.

FTX global does worldwide Texture replacement .whereas GEX does it by the region.IE europe,Africa or north america.

What is this fix?

I think DX10 Fixer is the tool to which they refer. It's been a while since I've used FSX but I pretty sure I remember it working when I did use it, I always used DX10.

Did you remember it working during nighttime? Can anyone confirm that the DX10 fixer is the tool in question?

I'm pretty convinced I had it working fine at night. http://forum.avsim.net/topic/437991-considering-orbx-scenery-in-dx10/ Have a read of this, I'm sure there are many others. I imagine the issue would be clarified over on the Orbx forum itself. I can't really say with certainty that it works coz it's been a while since I had need of it, I don't run FSX any more.

Hello

I currently have FTX global running on my setup with DX10 the only thing you'll need is the Steve dx10 fixer . it works like a charm

cheers
