I got issues with fuel, cabin pressure, and batteries

Definitely check the BIOS/UEFI clock thing - a lot of the newer ASUS boards have issues with this, it's something we've seen at support occasionally. A bunch of the systems in the airplane rely on the BIOS/UEFI precision events timer and they get totally screwed up if the PET freezes or otherwise stops working.

Apparently if you overclock using the BCLK (base clock) instead of the multiplier, it can cause timing issues under Win 8 or 8.1. Not sure if this also would affect PMDG products. I know that it is enough to disqualify Win8 computers from running benchmarks and submitting online.

THIS... should be sticky-ed... under "things to look out for if fsx/ PMDG starts to do funny stuff..."

I finally got it to work (ROG: time freeze) by clearing the CMOS from here :

Thanks for the confirmation Capt.

Board: ASUS Maximus VI Formula; BIOS 1402

OS: Win 7 pro 64

"semi-automated" overclocking ---> setting multiplier and additional Turbo mode voltage as per JJ's tube on OCing z87s..

I found out also (after i got the time freeze thingy working again), that the windows time freeze reoccurs if you crash/ BSOD (unstable cpu:voltage settings)... which meant you have to clear the CMOS again...
