May 2, 201412 yr I believe he's been demoted to flying solely FSX planes now Ollie :p0805: Wonder if he's been briefed on OOM's  OOM is a VOR facility in Australia (at least it was one when FSX was released). What happened to AVSIM
May 2, 201412 yr Commercial Member I won a round with an approach controller into KIAD a decade ago. She asked for something we couldn't accomplish, and when told "unable, sorry" she berated us on the frequency. Was that the "I need you to keep your speed up in the Jetstream all the way to short final incident?" On another sidenote, what has happened to the pilot who didn't want to comply with ATC instructions ("clearances") in N.Y. airspace, declared an emergency instead, and finally landed on the runway of his choice?!? Good question. Based on what I saw of the incident (I didn't look too much into it), but I'm hoping he got his cert pulled. Kyle Rodgers
May 6, 201412 yr If we are speaking of the same event He had a very good reason to do what he did.He gave them the low fuel warning some 30' minutes before he actually landed after being held for hours with EFC's and being commanded a go around.ATC provided the information available at the time.. I think it was a chain of unfortunate events and a lack of communication between ATC centers. Sometimes you do everything right and still it just doesn't works for you. ----- Jose M Garcia
