May 17, 201412 yr Commercial Member I found Peters 'mantock' Vatsim adventures a great insight and also seemed to take the edge of the scaryness a bit when you can watch a beginning going through the process. Here's an example, its not perfect mistakes are made but always noted the next video as he improves, rather an enjoyable watch; Lewis - A2A Simulations
May 17, 201412 yr Yes, The new pilot client can be used in P3D. I just bought it last night, and loading it all up. Of course I have not started to mess with the settings, but the install and setup could not have been easier. Took about 5 mins, and another 2 to get online and test out. The days of constantly messing about with FSInn for me are over. While it is a more robust client, with more features, getting certain things to load and act right were a nightmare. This was very simple for me, and I have also found a wealth of information over at the Vatsim forums for their client. Keep in mind though, you will have to be a member of VatSim to be able to be online with them. But again, like their client software, it is very simple. Log into the forums, and there is more than enough information you need to get started. There are thousands of pilots and controllers over there who have all went through the new-guy stage. Hope to see you on sometime. I fly under N991VK. Maybe catch you guys on. William Sequeira
May 17, 201412 yr Agree on Vpilot, really neat piece of software. No fuzz, works right out of the box. Also, my 2 cents: If you're into airplanes and flying, you HAVE to try online flying with real pilots and real controllers. Very rewarding compared to flying in a "dead" AI environment. May 17, 201412 yr There's Vpilot, the simple client, and the other one that's soon to be finished. Temporarily called Open Source pilot client. Hold up....there is another one being made??? I thought vPilot was the one that was always in development? Do you happen to have a link to any discussion about this new product being made? Thanks

It's called Swift. David Zambrano, CFII, CPL, IGI I know there's a lot of money in aviation because I put it there.
