February 22, 200521 yr Commercial Member Hi John, oops, there's another misunderstanding; good thing you added that shot of your scenery library! The two main Columbia River entries - scenery and landclass - need to be much higher up in the Scenery Library, only the ZZZ folder needs to stay at the bottom. As stated in the read-me they need to be above the regional default files, somewhere above the layer that reads "Addon Scenery". Because you have those two below the default file, the exclude switches for the bridges don't work. That should do the trick.Cheers, Holger
February 22, 200521 yr Hello Holger,Thanks for your reply. I reloaded the original texture files in both the /scenery/world/texture and /texture folders. No luck. I still had the CTD. I have now done a complete reinstall and the CTDs are gone!! I only had time tonight for a short trip from Troutdale up the Columbia. WOW!! Thanks again for your help.Dan
February 22, 200521 yr Author Ahh, so -- many thanks, Holger. When the read-me said "anywhere ... above the default files", I thought you meant the Default Scenery and Default Terrain at the very bottom. At my age, too many lost brain cells.Interestingly, that got rid of The Dalles bridge, but not Wilsonville. Even putting your files at the extreme top of the library does not fix that one. So next I will try your advice to exclude it. Question -- how does one go about finding the file that contains a specific bridge or other scenery element?John
February 23, 200521 yr Commercial Member Hi John, umm, I guess that statement in the read-me is a bit misleading - sorry about the confusion. To exclude any bridge, get Christian Fumey's DefArea - defarea20.zip - install it, read the docs, then use DefArea in the sim to slew along the entire length of the bridge(s), with exclude layer set to 7. Compile the bgl, rename it to something descriptive, place it in an active add-on folder (e.g., in the scenery subfolder of "US Columbia River Gorge landclass"), and the bridge(s) should be gone. Cheers, Holger
February 23, 200521 yr Author Holger -Can't thank you enough for patiently stepping me through this.I'm now enjoying the full glory of your efforts.John
March 4, 200521 yr Hi Holger,Apologies first, I sent you an e-mail about 20 minutes before I found this thread.Anyway, I had the duplicate airport problem and also not being able to select a start position other than a runway. The only way I managed to cure it was to disable the corrected AFCAD elevations scenery, nothing else seemed to work.I tried all sorts of various combinations and moving the sceneries to different layers. Spent about 4-5 hours this evening trying to figure out what was causing the problem, LOL. Would have only taken me 15 minutes to do a search and find this thread. Now i'm slightly tired and i'm off to bed.BTW, love Misty Fjords, great work Holger.

March 13, 200719 yr Commercial Member Hi there, where did you place the "ZZZ_Corrected_AFCAD_Elevations" entry in your scenery library? Is it below the "Western North America" entry as written in the instructions?Or did you follow my instructions for the work-around that I posted above, that is copying the AF2_ files into SceneryNamwscenery?Another possible reason for the problems you describe are AFCAD files for the same airfield by a different add-on. Use scanAFD to search for duplicate AFCADs or do a Windows search for "AF2_WA78".Good luck!Cheers, Holger
