May 19, 201412 yr I've been having several freezes and I'm resorting to uninstall and reinstall the 777. Will I need a new activation code, or will my original one still work? Is there a limit to the number of uninstall/resinstallations available for the 777? Thanks Mitch Brown Private Pilot | Aerospace Engineering Major
May 19, 201412 yr Uninstalling and re installing the t7 all the time is not going to solve any issues you have, more likely to cause you more issues, the activation code will be the same as the original when you purchased it and I think there is a limit of how many times you can re install but its just simply submit a support ticket in to reset your limit again I7-8700k,Corsair h1101 cooler ,Asus Strix Gaming Intel Z370 S11 motherboard, Corsair 32gb ramDD4,, gtx 1080ti Card, RM850 power supply Peter kelberg
May 19, 201412 yr Mitch, The T7 had a deactivation feature in the FMC. Deactivate I FMC and copy the activation code to notepad and save it, when you reinstall insert code you saved. check the Introduction manual, page 12. I just did it yesterday, works perfectly.

May 29, 201412 yr I'm building a new computer with Win 7 64-bit running on a new SSD and MB, but keeping the FSX installation on the same logical hard drive. Do I still need to de-activate the 777 and re-install it? If so, what are the custom/setting files that I need to backup? Cheers, Harry Harry Sung

Cheers, Harry If you're changing the system hardware then yeah, you'll need to deactivate. All the 777 settings and stuff are in the PMDG/PMDG777X folder. Aircraft specific settings are in the Aircraft folder and the global settings are in the 777X_Options.ini file. Colors and keyboard shortcuts/assignments are in the other ini files there as well.
