The Quest Kodiak...port over...

Featured Replies

Folks, I need help, please,

I have this beautiful plane now in P3D, with also sound..but, I have no panel display in the three panel panes. If anybody has this plane and panel to speed, could you please tell me what files, inside the GAUGE folder are the ones to port over into P3D, to have your M.D.P.'s show up?

Thanks...or if they are in a different location within FSX...

Nice plane...but instruments (smile), would be nice...

Hi Mitch,

this folder too? E:\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\gauges\Kodiak_G1000_fs2x

Thanks Spirit...I'll check that out in my FSX installation...and port over...thanks!

Hmmm...don't seem to have that in my FSX folder....and yet..I have my M D P...

I have a G1000 file...but my P3D Kodiak doesn't access the cab .... :(

Post edit: It seems Spirit, that the G1000 cab file is picked up by my Kodiak installation inside FSX, but does not get recognized in P3D. The entire plane is there, intact, including sound...but less the electronic panel displays.  Bummer...

Hi Mitch,

do you have the Kodiak version 2.6? http://www.lionheartcreations.com/Kodiak.html

Once there was a problem in P3D v2 with the Garmin but this should be fixed if you have the latest version of P3D v2.2.1

Spirit...I just re-downloaded my Flight1 Kodiak..and low and behold..it is a quad install now!!!

So...no worries...and thanks for your help!

Post Edit:   Folks, you do NOT have to mess with your Kodiak install..and pull things over to P3D.  Just download (at least from Flight1.com) v2.6 again...and this time, you will get a quad installer, for FSX, FS9.P3D 1.4, and P3d 2.2

Just aim and blast a copy to whatever sim you own, or like.  I just fired up the Kodiak (a beautiful plane...!) in P3D, and I got my MDP back.  Good go!

Hi Mitch,

thanks for that information. It's very good to know and indeed the Kodiak is a very nice plane and there are so many wonderful repaints out there.

It was my favorite Amphibian in FSX...and that will remain in P3D... I just wish I had the real-world bucks to own this beaut!  My wife still wouldn't fly in it...(one prop, one engine), but said that if I ever got my license, it would have to be a license to handle TWO ENGINES.....oh...and that it have not only wheels...but 'toonies' as well.  She says, that she would want stay-in-the-air-land-anywhere options, before whether the seats are leather, or not....:)   BTW...I am not kidding....I'd need a twin prop/pontoon before we could fly anywhere....

Well, unless you win the lottery, it looks like you're stuck on the sim! :P

A comment, never more, true. My wife has to take puddle-jumpers quite a bit to Chicago out of either Flint-Bishop, or Detroit for business...and loads up with Gravol....

The morning before she goes....the color of her face...is not a pretty sight.  She just can't believe, that I would sit in front of a computer and WANT TO FLY!  She leaves me alone...to do so...but the eye-rolling every time I try to call her over to show her something new in P3D....is something you'd see Jackie Gleason do..in the Honeymooners....This is my life, pmanhart....but I wouldn't trade her for the world...lol. I do the same with her...over our horses....

Well buy a Twin Otter and get the aerosoft version for P3D - it's almost as much fun as the Kodiak!
