Trees all over airports

Featured Replies

Hi

I use FSX, and i have found a few airports with trees everywhere so they are unusable - for example SEQU - should be an image below. Any idea why? and how i remove the trees?

I have orbx global, and vectors

Someone call a LUMBERJACK!   Look for that program in the AVSIM or Flightsim.com library.

ok thanks

ORBX issue at some airfields.

Well, sounds logic to me....

SEQU has been closed since a year now. SEQM is the new airport, so no wonder there are trees growing there...!

As a tip for the future when posting images from fsfiles.org, copy and paste the line under BBC Code.  The images will be larger and shown in your post.

Installing ORBX FTXG does indeed cause this kind of problems at some airports. The problem seems to be that ORBX have changed an FSX texture which some/many airport developers use as the grass background to their airport scenery. Previously, this texture did not have autogen (trees etc). With ORBX FTXG it does, and these sprout up all over the place unless the airport has specific exclusion polygons. If you are skilled in the use of ADE, then you can often fix these airports yourself. If not, you are dependent on the airport developer to resolve,
