Shez KLGB v4 now available

Featured Replies

If anyone is interested, Shez just released his new KLGB scenery and it works in P3Dv2. It's available in the library. Like all his sceneries it looks great!

Todd Harrell

Yep.  She looks great in P3D.  Just picked up MSE-2 50cm Los Angeles/San Diego on sale.  Kitbashed my own veggies and autogen.  Threw in the night lighting from Night Environment and 100% WofAI and GA and I've got one immersive SoCal to fly in this holiday weekend.  :P

Intel i9-12900KF, Asus Prime Z690-A MB, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, (3) SK hynix M.2 SSD (2TB ea.), 16TB Seagate HDD, Gigabyte GeForce 5080 RTX, Corsair iCUE H70i AIO Liquid Cooler, UHD/Blu-ray Player/Burner (still have lots of CDs, DVDs!)  Windows 10, (hold off for now on Win11),  EVGA 1300W PSU
Netgear 1Gbps modem & router, (3) 27" 1440 wrap-around displays
Full array of Bravo, Saitek and GoFlight hardware for the cockpit. Varjo and HP VR headsets for mixed reality.

So P3D is not being dragged down in performance by KLGB?

Some users having major pefromance hit in FSX which I cannot replicate on my computer setup.

I'm not seeing any performance drop on my end.  I don't watch FPS like a hawk, but I learned early on that FPS is not a good indicator of smoothness in P3D. And my sim is smooth flying around KLGB.

I experienced a severe drop in FPS (2 to 3 FPS max when I am parked at KLGB - at KLAX I am getting 28 FPS).

I did not notice anything straight off and I had my surroundings loaded up.  Only thing that caught my eye was there was some bleed though of what looked like the default airport under yours.  This was at dusk.  Also is there a custom AFCAD?  Need to look at what's in there today as I could taxi lines not lining up and aircraft parked off the parking spots.  But those are no biggies.

Man, has the airport changed a lot since I was there years ago.  Too bad they did not continue the art deco theme from the old terminal.

The AFCAD is embedded in the ADEX file within the download.

Just a little update.  Still see no issues with performance.  With default P3D autogens, AI maxed I get hi 20's to Hi 30's.  When I go with photoreal, autogen, etc. it's in  the 40's so no issues.  Not seeing the dual ground textures anymore be it daytme or dusk, AI are lining up correctly so it was just probably me screwing up some scenery priorities.

The only thing I am seeing, and a lot off is the ground textures are fighting bad... lot's of shimmer/conflict there.  I disabled everything going back to P3D stock to make sure but still have the shimmer.  This is slewing about 500ft looking down.  Don't notice it while taxing on the ground.  Hope that helps a little.
