June 5, 201412 yr This question came to me today when I saw an Air France Concorde picture, did their Concorde have the dials/instruments in French or English? Dials/instruments were in the same Arabic numeral system that most of the world uses. If you mean the writing on push buttons, I think you will find all Concordes used English. Peter Schluter
June 5, 201412 yr Indeed AF Concorde was a little bit different than BAW one. I'm not sure about instrument labels language, but checklist were in french. Additionally, they used different clock gauge and different INS system. Lj. June 6, 201412 yr checklist were in french I that something special about the Concorde? Up to now I thought that it is a matter of what airlines choose as the "official cockpit language", i.e. some ailrlines do the relevant checks and communications in English, others (from what I remember Air France is one of them) choose to do (at least the communication with the cabin crew) in their own language.
