Did Air France Concorde have French instruments?

Featured Replies

This question came to me today when I saw an Air France Concorde picture, did their Concorde have the dials/instruments in French or English?

Dials/instruments were in the same Arabic numeral system that most of the world uses.

If you mean the writing on push buttons, I think you will find all Concordes used English.

Indeed AF Concorde was a little bit different than BAW one. I'm not sure about instrument labels language, but checklist were in french. Additionally, they used different clock gauge and different INS system.

I that something special about the Concorde? Up to now I thought that it is a matter of what airlines choose as the "official cockpit language", i.e. some ailrlines do the relevant checks and communications in English, others (from what I remember Air France is one of them) choose to do (at least the communication with the cabin crew) in their own language.
