ORBX airports and P3D2

Featured Replies

I have been told that I can install the ORBX airports in P3D2 with EMT and that this work. My experience is that this is only true to some part.

I have encountered these issues

1) No shadow from the aircraft at some airports

2) Missing 3D grass in some cases

3) Some for example WA56 2S1 things are very wrong

4) Problem with performance. In the best case similarly to FSX or slightly worse (but some caution here can be difficult to judge)

I would like to know how I remove them from P3D2? Is it just to delete scenery folders?

Yes, delete scenery folders and remove from your scenery library.

I had similar issues, I also had crashes on start-up. I'll wait for P3D installers.

I should mention that I picked up kbzn today in the 50% sale and tried installing it for the heck of it. It works fine as long as the "flows" dll's are disabled (p3d prompts me to do this at start-up)..so it looks like some can be installed without waiting for the p3dv2 installers...your mileage may vary.

From what I read they may work. But not advised and not supported. However they are turning out new versions with triple installers at an unbelievable rate. Southampton today, three p3d scenes this week. And about one a week. All region and global stuff is LM compatible

The triple installers are definitely the way to go if you can hold out for them to be created for any airports/regions you may own. Details at the ORBX Forum as to where they are up to.
