It's a new Samsung 46".

Thanks, I was thinking of a Samsung myself.

Hope you get it sorted.

I replaced my 3 19" monitors with the 42" and liked the result a lot.  I lost some visibility on the left and right when I did but what I got was more realism in size.  Everything was much closer to life size which, for me, makes it more real.  I don't notice any difference in terms of using an HDTV as a monitor...the framerates and the clarity are just as good and I have more range available in terms of color and brightness.  I tried a 55" and it was too large at the distance I have it on my desk.  I replaced the 42" because it was showing its age.

Oh boy, am I ever coming late to this party!  Gregg, thanks for posting this information.  I was having such a hard time trying to figure out why things just didn't run as crisply as they used to.  The mouse lagged behind my hand movements and the sim just didn't appear to be that great looking at times.  With this post I can now get back to proper simming.

Thanks so much for your help!
