New headset not working with FS2CREW NGX Bundle

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I have recently purchased a set of Razer Kraken 7.1 Surround Sound Headet for gaming. I throught i would try it out with FSX tonight. So far the issue i am having is that FS2CREW will not recognise the voice from the mic at all, all the windows applications including voice recognition etc work. the troubleshooting steps i have taken are as follows.

Re-Install FS2CREW (Including the folder within FSX)
Enable and Disable Voice

Disable the inbult laptop microphone previously used

Enable the inbuilt microphone and see if uplugging the headset then using the inbuilt microphone for the latop again as per my original configuration (This Worked fine)

Disabling again, then re inserting the new USB Headset

Ensuring that the headet is selected in the CFG menu

Trying the soft and hard mute buttons

Seeing if the microphone would work the the inbuilt windows speech recognition (It Did)

Checking to ensure the microphone was not muted (It wasnt)

I have now done all the troubleshooting i have done, i have noted that RAZER, comes with its own software with the USB headphone, which contains the drivers and the Surround Sound Configuation etc, not sure if this is interfering

I have tried disabling the software which made no different

So... this is the point i am completely stumped

I emailed you.

We'll do a remote desktop.  You probably just have your new mic not setup properly in the Windows Control panel.

Cheers,

Wish the solution was posted here as I have the same problem with my Razer Kraken 7.1 headset and VAC (dw's voice activated commands program).  SAPI not working but speech setup works fine.
