B777 SP1 INSTALLATION ERROR

I am trying to install the SP1 for the B777 but i am having problems, the OC doesn't fin any update and only shows the  "older" version of the 777, I downloaded de SP1 manually and when i run the installator at some point stops and shows the following error message:

me too error installation for SP1.

Looks like you guys are having permission problems. I t looks like it cannot find your fsx ?

did you copy the file out of the zip folder to a place like your desktop. what happens is that when running directly from the zip folder it puts the information in a temp folder which has lower permission. recommend copying the file to say your desktop and try running it from there.

If it is not a permission issue from unpacking then I am not sure your going to be able to avoid an uninstall.  You have a permissions issue or registry issue with the path.  

 

One note, I am typing from 36,000ft in an 737-800 NG.  How cool is that?

Ok, that's fine then, a reinstall is not a big deal. My main concern is losing my hotkeys. If I keep my 777X_Shortcuts.ini file and put it back in after a reinstall, they should be restored, correct? 

I will leave that to Ryan to answer for sure.  You can try, just backup the original so you can put back if there is an issue.

I am having the same problem, and also hope I can avoid a reinstall as I dont have a backup copy...
