I have very big issues with the scenery textures, whenever I fly it doesn't seem to reload the textures and looks blurry! Scenery addons I use: FTX Global, FTX Global Vector & FTX Global openLC europe

Thanks for your reply, I've tried it out and it still appears.. hmmm the textures won't even load except the airport area I could fly about 10 minutes in the same area without change, it probably get even worse.

Thanks for your reply, I've tried setting it to 0.33 => sadly no success

 

It's all running smooth around the airport, but as soon as I fly over a different place it stops loading the textures. I have no idea what to do and need help from you FSX experts.

Orcun, there are a few things I'd like to mention. With FSX it is not alwasy a single issue that causes problem but often a combination of many. Firstly, with respect, your system is not the highest performing machine by any stretch of the imagination, so tis will not help. This, combine with ill thought out tweaks or heavy handed FSX slider settings will be the cause of the problem. The other thing I notice, is that in the screenie you are flying a jet.. is this the normal kind of aircraft you fly? If so, then this also will be a VERY big combining factor. The faster you fly, the faster the CPU has to load scenery and hence blurries.

 

Ahmed was on the right track with his reference to the FFTF value, the lower it is, the higher frames, but this is at the cost of blurry scenery.

 

What I would suggest is to start afresh with your cfg. Make a backup of the current cfg, place it somewhere safe and let FSX build a new one, which it will do automatically on starting FSX.

 

Set FSX frames to 30, do not set unlimited. Untick bloom, untick ground shadows, untick all aircraft shadows, untick aircraft ground shadows, reduce vehicle AI to 10%, aircraft AI to 20%, reduce cloud coverage and draw distance to medium, set autogen to normal, set water to Low 2x.

 

I have to go out now but will return later. See how you get on and then we can expand on things further with any tweaks that may be necessary. I suspect Bufferpools will help. Add Highmemfix, LOD=4.5, disable preload, FFTF=0.25, set Affinity mask, and I think for the time being that will be it. If you have flashing after setting Bufferpools then don't worry this can be sorted later. Remember to set your zoom level to wide aspect if running wide monitor. Sorry, have to rush, cheers.

Thanks for your help, I did everything as you mentioned and it works!!! After some testing I manually added some tweaks to get greater FPS since my system as you said is quite outdated for FSX.

I could never get rid of the terrain blurries completely after moving to P3D never had this issue again so nice
