Interesting article on MS Flight's FB page. Dovetail Games director of brand is commenting on the 3 games they are currently working on. "future flight simulator based on Microsoft's renowned flight technology" being one of them. Course we know that already, right.

I saw references to a possible revival and have been trying to not get my hopes up.  The comment quoted here is the first definitive statement that I've read.

The immersive feeling of Flight was so much better that the Flight Simulator franchise.  I was really disheartened when further development of Flight was cancelled.  No experience in Flight Simulator ever compared to flying the Stearman on a moonlit night and listening to the sound of the wind and watching the shadows of the guy wires on the lower wing.  With Flight Simulator's inability to properly texture vertical surfaces I couldn't even fly through the Grand Canyon without the feeling that if I wasn't careful I would scrape my elbow on the canyon wall.

Yeah, I saw that article too, but decided it was primarily a guy paid to use lots of words to say not much, plying his trade. 

 

In my restless web wanderings I also encountered a Dovetail beta forum and idly wondered what might be going on in there...........
