August 22, 201411 yr I notice a significant difference in overall sharpness in textures between DX9 and DX10, the later giving LESS sharp textures. It's most noticeable in the VC when turning my my view to the center of the main panel or to the overhead. For a long time I have tried solving this by altering settings in either DX10 Fixer or in my graphicscard settings, but I see no change. It frustrates me since I do notice some performance improvement in DX10 and certain things (lights) tend to look nicer in DX10, but not having crisp and clear textures in my PMDG 737NGX VC is a showstopper for me. Especially the "engraved" letters in the panels are fuzzy and badly readable. It might be a hardware issue since I do not have the latest or greatest graphics hardware, using an ATI HD5870 1GB graphicscard. If this is the case; I recon I have to wait until I can afford a nice nVidia GTX770 or 780 card. Thanks in advance for any feedback on this. Regards, Frank van der Werff
September 3, 201411 yr try adding this line (if it's not there) VIRTUAL_COCKPIT_TEXTURES_SCALE=2.0 under heading - [PANELS] in your FSX.CFG maybe that will help mike Sim,PC, monitor, prescription glasses, chair.
September 19, 201411 yr Bonjour, After installing the last nvidia drivers, as I had lot of problem when switching views (Flash black vertical lines....) I revert back to a very old driver 340.52... And miracle... the letters on the panel are no more fuzzy... Best regards Claude Claude Troncy

September 19, 201411 yr Commercial Member DX10 requires a different setup than DX9. Unfortunately DX10, and DX11 (Prepar3D), show up an aircraft scaling problem that renders instruments fuzzy and shows poor AA on some aircraft models only. However the NVidia Inspector can set Sparse Grid Supersampling, which is used to improve this problem. Read all about it here. Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com
September 20, 201411 yr Bonsoir SteweW, Thank you for your explanation. It is more clear for me now, even if it is not the case with the VC instruments  Best regards Claude Claude Troncy
