August 30, 201411 yr Hi, next week I will do an upgrade of my computer, new motherboard, new cpu, new graphic card and new Ram. The hard disks and software will remain unchanged. Will I have problems with the 777 licence or will it be automatically recognized? Thank you. James Goggi
August 30, 201411 yr that's not an upgrade, that is a new computer. so you should reinstall everything from scratch again, starting with windows. Denis Kosbeck KPHX
August 30, 201411 yr Depends on how many times you've activated it, I just did a rebuild over a week ago and found I'd exceeded my 737NGX limit when I tried to register after re-install. I'm still waitng to hear from PMDG in response to my email.

They will get you back up and running. To the OP, for the 777, before you start the upgrade you can deactivate your key through the settings menu on the CDU. That will release the registration so that it is not counting against your limit. John Sturm

You don't have to reinstall Windows because the hard disk, with all its installed software, isn't changing. Windows will probably need to be reactivated though.
