Tileproxy R

Yes, it works with P3D.

Perhaps Foly-vi can give as the link to his explanation.

I have come across a link but it's as much use as a candle in a snowstorm as the document is in French ... what I think all of us who'd love to see the transformation being suggested resulting from the switch to P3D need is for someone who has succesfully got it working to share the steps required (in English) ... there appear to be 2 approaches ... individuals who say its simply a case of installing using the EMT then run P3D in 'Legacy' mode ... and the approach taken by the French individual which involves a lot more fiddling about with files and the application of a patch which is being called Tileproxy_R 086(see below)... I would be interested to know whether one of these approaches produces a better result than the other ... maybe the Santa Claus of simulation will make us all a present of a neatly packaged tutorial ....

here's a link which might be of interest(before anyone jumps in I am aware it relates to FSX)::http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGgD0ur3TqU

is there an installer for TileProxy for P3D ?

I did mine manually by copying the paths to tileproxy world files to the P3D scenery cfg

and copying the Tileproxy folder over to P3D main, then replacing the files supplied in the R86 update, and updating my ini file as required

Foly-vi,

Never mind with the last post. I figured it out. But when I run tileproxy, I still get a random display of tiles. It does not look like the simulator is reading the tiles. Any ideas?

me2 I see the eggs filling up but no chickens (pun)

and there are jpeg's in my cache

result = regular default P3D textures and autogen are all there in their glory but no photo scenery from tileproxy showing although they are being continuously downloaded

Easily 2X faster.
I do not fly with FSX. Only P3D. Original Tileproxy runs much faster with P3D (I could easily fly at 150 knots with 1m/pixel resolution). But now, with the patched Tileproxy , 300 knots is not a problem.
(On another forum , I explained how to use Tileproxy with P3D.)
It is also now possible to fly using Google maps datas.

You seem to be the only one describing a working P3D/TileProxy setup

Please detail your installation...? Please

Where can I download this updated version of TileProxy?

Apparently any original download links for Tileproxy R086 do not work anymore.  I will upload a usable Tileproxy R086 package to the AVSIM library and the Simviation library with Fonchy's permission.  I have sent him a PM with this request.

I have Tileproxy R086 working fine on a Window 7 PC.  I have no experience with Windows 8 or P3D, so I cannot tell you how to get TP or TP_R086 working on those platforms - sorry.

Regards,

John G.

I have sent a second PM to Fonchy to get his OK to add R086 to the library.  There was no response to my first PM.  I will upload R086 to the AVSIM and Simviation libraries later this week, giving Fonchy credit for the original R086.
