September 20, 201411 yr Hey guys Im having some problems with my recently installed PMDG 737NGX. The wings are horribly looking and are just a pixely mess. Anyone know how to fix this problem? September 20, 201411 yr Turn up your AA? You didn't give us much info, so it's just a shot in the dark Matt L.
September 20, 201411 yr Author Thing is, Ive been told to use the Nvidia Geforce AA but Using Ingame AA makes no difference for the wings at all and the Nvidia makes no difference aswell..
September 20, 201411 yr In your FSX graphics settings, be sure that the option "Aicraft casts shadows on itself" is NOT selected. If that option is on, it can cause this kind of effect on the upper wing of the NGX. Jim BarrettLicensed Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic, Avionics, Electrical & Air Data Systems Specialist. September 21, 201411 yr You are not going to get rid of AA completely in FSX. Right now the only option is enabling FXAA (which might make other things a little blurry). I have my AA setting at 8xS [Combined: 1x2 SS + 4x MS] and 4x Sparse Grid Supersampling (FXAA off). Looks good but not perfect AA. Make sure AA is turned on in the FSX. You want to "enhance the application setting" with the 8xS NI setting. The AVSIM FSX Configuration Guide located to the right of this forum under Hot Spots provides more details.
