September 21, 201411 yr After installing the QW 757 earlier, my sim crashes as soon as any flight loads. I can use the start-up screen fine, the flight loads to 100%, then after the cockpit is displayed I get a CTD. I uninstalled this add-on, but it still crashes. I deleted the P3D.cfg but this still didn't fix it. I don't believe the QW 757 is the problem, but it does look that way as this started after installing it. I'm using version 2.3 by the way. September 21, 201411 yr Anything in your .xml file still pointing at the QW757? I had a similar situation early on with the CS B707 and I think its a similar situation when 2.3 came out for ASN users. Couldn't hurt to open it up in notepad and have a look. RE Thomason Jr.
September 22, 201411 yr Author Nope, checked the dll and exe .xml files. It's almost like the flight loads, then the sim tries to load something else, like AI traffic or something, and that's causing it to crash. It's very annoying to be P3Dless <_< haha. September 22, 201411 yr Jesse, Check your aircraft folder again ... for left overs from an uninstall. Anything with QW (or other uninstalled) still there? My initial thought was you had a corrupt (QW) aircraft.cfg file. Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
September 22, 201411 yr Author Jesse, Check your aircraft folder again ... for left overs from an uninstall. Anything with QW (or other uninstalled) still there? My initial thought was you had a corrupt (QW) aircraft.cfg file. There are no QW folders left. I've just finished a P3D "repair" and that has failed to fix it. It's starting to bug me now. What else could it be? I can't figure it out. September 22, 201411 yr Jesse, First step: I would look in the Windows Event Viewer and get the name of the Module that caused the last crash(s). Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
December 6, 201411 yr I am having the same issue. I am running P3D 2.4 and this did not happen before the update. Is there a way to go back to 2.3?
