Lionheart Lear - FPS/Smoothness Impact

Featured Replies

How are the frames with this new AC? I was assuming since it is steam and no FMC and other Frame rate hogs it may do very well.

Any input. Can you compare it to any other aircraft as far as FPS impact?

I noticed no change on my system. It is fast becoming my favorite smaller a/c.

Well, just bought it and disappointed in the panel clarity. Considerable flickering also, much more than most of my other AC. I thought at 1st maybe there was an HD cockpit option but so far what you see is what you get. The cockpit sure looks better in the posted images LOL. OH well, I will still fly it as it is a challenge. I did get er down on my 1st manual approach. Was able to maintain about 130 kts till over the Threshhold, then cut power and she floated right in and touched down a little below 100.. Do not have FSUIPC yet and cannot get the precise control I needed with rudder. It is a fast one. Had to cut a lot of power after leveling off on climb. Lot of power here in this plane.

Bob - play around with NVidia settings. I had terrible flickers but they disappeared. Currently using 4SGSS and 16XAF with AA set to Enhance - no flickers.

Same aircraft, same settings except 8xAF and no AA enhance.

Works perfect.

I too am getting to like this AC. Fast and easy to fly. Am getting Flight1's GNS750 this weekend so we'll see how that goes.

Hey Vic, with Nvidia Inspector or Nvidia Control panel. Also, what drivers are you using?

When using these external settings, what settings are you using internally in p3d. I have set some external settings and seen no response whatsoever.

I set them in Nvidia Inspector. In simI have FXAA off - 4 samples - 16X Anisotropic and 1024 textures.

I love this plane.  It's sort of like flying A2A's C172, but at 45k feet and 300 knots. It's my first jet and I  am having a ball with it.  That's because of the familiar steam gauges and relative simplicity compared to modern jets of the same type.  I run four screens, with VOXATC and the GNS750 and have found the Learjet to have almost zero affect on framerates.

Forever indebted to the late Michael Greenblatt of FSGS.

The panels look great on my PC .. daytime and nighttime. Just like the posted images and videos.

No flickering either.
