weather radar 777 not working

hi all 

 

i have invested on the pmdg 777 and its bril but i have spent almost 3 days trying to get the weather radar to work 

 

on the screen it says wxr

i have set the wxr on the mcp and have wx set on the panal also have auto and Land R button set on 

i am have active sky2012 and it put in lots of rain but still dont pick up any thing on the display just my route and rings wxr

i have put the gain up and down changed the tilt but nothing i have the spl1 for the pmdg777-200lr

 

heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelppppppp plz before i go mad

You need Active Sky Next.

First, PMDG's weather radar only works with ActiveSky Next not with ActiveSky2012, Second, a weather radar only shows precipitation. If there are cloulds, but no precipitations, it ill not show anything.

As noted by the others, you need ActiveSky Next.

Don't forget too that the weather radar is operated automatically which means that the tilt cannot be manually controlled unless you deselect the AUTO pushbutton on the WXR panel - indication should then go from -2A to -2M. Mind you, it's useless anyway without AS Next and I do recommend it because it's fab. just flying over some CBs over the Irish Sea at the moment and the radar is picking up a beautiful carpet of red shading.
