  1. Nah, I don’t like the sound of that at all. They should have used Amy’s UNS - that would be preferable to using a default unit. Thanks anyway chaps
  2. I really want to fly the ERJ in the sim but I’m getting mixed signals about XCrafts (not purchased their stuff before). Is it true that the ERJs have the default FMS from the XPlane Citation X? That's a big red flag to me if it’s true
  3. Thank you I never saw that! I only saw the 'response curve' menu. Brilliant, thank you
  4. Hi folks, I went back to Xplane 12 recently in the Felis and am just absolutely loving it. One problem I have is my controls are a bit sensitive at the moment, especially in roll, but the sensitivity curve control is like something from a NASA advanced physics lecture and I don't understand how to just slightly reduce the aileron sensitivity so the Felis 742 feels a bit more like an airliner rather than a fighter when operating the ailerons. Can anyone help? Thanks all
  5. Hi folks, I would like a keyboard command to arm the speedbrake in the Felis 747 as I can't seem to do it physically with the mouse; what command do I have to select in the Xplane menu? Also, I would like a command, the equivalent of F2 in FSX/P3D (and MSFS for that matter), which opens up the reversers on landing, then keeping the button pressed increases the reverse thrust. Then another command to cancel the reverse (the equivalent of F1 in the other sims). Does anyone know which ones I should select? I have asked on the Felis forum but it seems a little quiet on there. Many thanks all
  6. Yes, me too - any views on the quality of the sim from those who have dived straight in would be much appreciated
  7. The Cat 3 one looks very high quality, but is too much just for a tiller really - I can't really justify that price. I will await the Winwing one but thank you for your help folks
  8. oooh yes, very much so, thank you. Is it available? I can't seem to find anywhere to purchase it?
  9. Hi folks, I'm in the market for a decent nose wheel steering tiller control, preferably in the A320 vein but am open to others, to replace the joystick I've been using as tiller for a long time now. Preferably something that is reasonably priced too - I appreciate these things aren't cheap but some hardware is so eye-wateringly expensive they're not that far off the parts in the real aircraft 😁 If there are any that you would recommend, would much appreciate your input. Thanks all
  10. I loved the REX products in P3D but in MSFS I'm afraid I am at a slight loss, despite the marketing, as to what exactly REX Atmos does. Does it add different cloud types, rather than the uniform cumulus cloud that MSFS currently models? How I long to see a cirrus cloud or a proper CB in my sim again!
  11. I haven't really the time to watch those streams but development of something as detailed and complex as a flight sim is absolutely extraordinary, and they have undoubtedly revolutionised the sim experience with MSFS. FS2024 was initially unusable for me and I couldn't see the point, but now it really is getting there - I mainly stick to FS2020 simply because of the availability of most of my favourite add-ons, but 2024 is really impressive and I thoroughly enjoy using it. They should take their time. I can understand people feeling there is no light at the end of the tunnel but you really have to look back and see how much progress has been made. As said, in my view, 2024 was largely unusable on release; that certainly isn't the case now. And I really want to encourage rather than discourage Asobo and all other developers who help make my simming so enjoyable. Just as people moan about Blackbird taking their time re. the 757 - don't! It'll be out when it's out, and the same with 2024. It will develop but that takes time. The MSFS weather is something that I find frustratingly limited (it LOOKS so beatuiful, as everything else does in the sim, but it's basically just one cloud type with little recplication of actual met phenomena) - but it's still usable and will improve with time. Patience is a virtue! And, as Craig says, making these things is so unbelievably complex. I can just about build my own PC.
  12. Has AIG created a VMR file? I only use VATSIM traffic but would love to use the AIG stuff.
  13. Just as SayAgain says, it's the challenge of the realism and being close to RW ops that is of interest for me. I don't see the point of having a CTRL + E and just wang it around the sky for a bit kind of addon, because that's not really 'simulation' in my eyes. Thank you for all of your input so far, and any more reviews welcome if anyone has it in them. I'm increasingly thinking this ain't for me, however.
  14. Thanks folks.I just have a strong feeling that even though it's cheap, it's still going to disappoint me. I may well hold off.
  15. Would you let me know on here, Bill, what you think when you've had a bit of a ride in it? I'd be really interested. John.
  16. Has anyone got into this properly? Given its price and developer I can't say I hold out a huge amount of hope - I was hoping this would be a really detailed aircraft simulation rather than just a career mode game add-on.
  17. Hi folks, I'm just wondering if anyone else has started getting this - suddenly, I'm getting a massive hang (not even stutters) on touchdown; so far this is in the FSL321 NEO and the Fenix A320. I have perfect FPS the rest of the time. This has only just started very recently. Could it be GSX? Has anyone else noticed it?
  18. I'm currently doing commercial flight training and MSFS has been unbelievably helpful for practising instrument flying and rehearsing engine failure drills. In terms of handling it doesn't really feel like the real aircraft (been using the COWS DA42), but I can live with that. It really, really annoys me that in 2020 or 2024 they still haven't made the nav aid idents audible 😡 but it has been very, very helpful and has significantly assisted my progress.
  19. I'm really hoping this is a very detailed rendition - they've clearly had access to a 406 for development. I wish one could get a demo version or similar as I'm quite wary of inibuilds now since the A350. Fingers crossed this will be a good one; I'll be in it all the time if so.
  20. Hi guys, I wanted to go back to a previous NVidia driver but I can't use DDU any more because Windows 11 won't let you boot in safe mode because the Windows PIN doesn't work. I've tried removing the PIN but it just tells you to make one, and it then fails. There is actually no way in Windows 11 currently to boot in safe mode. Is there any workaround or way of uninstalling/reinstalling without DDU?
  21. From what I've now seen, yes, I can.
  22. It's much better than it was. I'm enjoying the PMDG 777 in 2024. But as others have said, don't delete 2020. I like 2024 but I don't personally see any point in it, other than generating a bit more money to keep the developers committed to sim development, which I'm more than happy to do. People keep going on about the much better visuals but I think that's just placebo effect; they look the same as 2020 to me. The image quality is better in 2020 using the same display settings. Performance seems better in 2024, but that might just be placebo on my part. Nevertheless, it's much more stable now. Give it a go, but don't get rid of 2020 for a good while.
  23. OK chaps, let's not be having a go at each other I didn't start this thread for that reason. I still think the Toliss sounds and artwork are sub-freeware quality, but that's irrelevant. I was genuinely interested in this 737 but clearly see that this is not a viable project. Shame,
  24. Yes just seen it in one of those stream videos - I wish them well but no thanks 😬
  25. I'm more interested in system depth than visuals if I'm honest, as long as the visuals are fairly passable. It looks like there is an unusual pricing strategy which potentially allows you to pay monthly so you can sample it and see if you like it, which is a jolly good idea.
